Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, a spokesperson said on May 18.

The cancer, which was diagnosed on May 16, is an “aggressive form” but “appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

“The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.
