Donald Trump ‘disappointed’ with Vladimir Putin
President Donald Trump told reporters he was ‘disappointed’ with Russian President Vladimir Putin, referencing latest attacks on Ukraine.
President Donald Trump nominated Emil Bove, one of his former criminal defense attorneys, to serve as a federal appeals court judge.
“Emil is SMART, TOUGH, and respected by everyone,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “He will end the Weaponization of Justice, restore the Rule of Law, and do anything else that is necessary to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
Bove is currently principal associate deputy attorney general, a position to which he was appointed by Trump.
Trump appointed at least four of his former attorneys to high-level government positions, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and was a former prosecutor in New York.
If confirmed to the post in the Third Circuit based in Philadelphia, he would have lifetime tenure.
Bove represented Trump in his federal criminal trial in which Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to hide a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
